- Eine Liebeserklärung // a declaration of love
Kanada, I'm Yours.
Exciting times lay ahead.
See you soon.

I'm in love! My heart is racing, my lungs feels tied up, my body is shaking. This love is fulfilling me and makes me happy beyond compare. I'm unable to continue living without the happiness it's giving me.
I'm in love and it hurts me to leave. Canada, I'm yours. I've forgotten what regret is, because I know that every decision has led me to you and every day I've become the person I am now a little bit more. You've taught me how to be me and how to be happy. I am forever grateful and can't wait to be back. Finally I have found my home.
I'm spending the night in one of the fanciest hotels in Vancouver, enjoying the waterfront view onto the ocean and North Van, and remembering the events of the past 10 months. Tomorrow - after 291 days - I will fly back to Frankfurt and not even 16 hours later I will be lying in my own bed. Or in our garden. Exciting times lay ahead.
See you soon.

tasting me like blood in your mouth

 1&2 - Lake Minnewanka // 3 - Banff Town side // 4 to 7 - Johnston Canyon // 8&9 - outlook onto Mount Rundle //
10&11, 14 - Hike near Lake Louise // 12 - Lake Louise // 13 - Moraine Lake

"Do not fall in love with people like me. I will take you to museums, and parks, and monuments, and kiss you in every beautiful place. So that you can never go back to them without tasting me like blood in your mouth. I will destroy you in the most beautiful way possible. And when I leave you will finally understand why storms are named after people."

cleanse my skin from the dust of all the ordinary

Lake Louise in late September

Updates!
Mai (also in knapp 2 Wochen) wieder Fuß auf deutschen Boden setzen. Gotta get my life together and all that.
Home is calling.

Updates! I've been working in Whistler (BC) for over 6 months now and had an absolutely fantastic winter. There were less snow and maple syrup than I anticipated, but even more great people and incredible experiences. My life is a dream - I'm starting to grasp that far too late though.
My plans have changed drastically over the last few weeks: Instead of prolonging my time in Canada I had to book an earlier flight, meaning on 26th May (in about two weeks) I will stand on German soil again. The main reason for that is an interview for my first choice of university at the end of the month. Gotta get my life together and all that. I honestly can't wait to be back home in the arms of my family and friends (you know who you are) though. I couldn't be more grateful for all the experiences I've made in the last 9 months, but it is time.
Home is calling.
