life is ... beautiful

Real-time update: Das Leben ist schön. Ich bin in Whistler (Ja, da weltberühmte Skigebiet, in dem 2010 Teile der olympischen Winterspiele stattgefunden haben!) und hab echt das Gefühl, dass ich hier für den Winter bleiben möchte. Bis jetzt hat Job-mässig noch nichts geklappt und daher habe ich mir gedacht, dass ich mich auch mal für meine erste Wahl richtig anstrengen könnte. Andere Skigebiete wären auch eine gute Option, aber bevor ich überhaupt nach Kanada geflogen bin, habe ich davon geträumt hier zu leben und arbeiten. And that's what I will do!
Hier in Whistler bin ich auch vor zwei Tagen Bungee Jumping gewesen - mit Abstand eine der besten Erfahrungen meines Lebens. Ich hab mir allerdings vorgestellt, dass ich mehr Angst haben würde. Stattdessen hatte ich eine innere Ruhe, die schnell in Euphorie umgesprungen ist. Es ist einfach ein unglaubliches Gefühl 50 m in einen wunderschönen Canyon zu blicken und ungebremst durch die kühle Herbstluft zu fallen. Schwerelos.
Ich kann diese Erfahrung wirklich nur weiterempfehlen und bin dem Universum so dankbar dafür, dass mich ein Fremder eingeladen hat diesen Ausflug mit ihm und seinen Kollegen zu unternehmen. xo

Real-time update: Life is in fact beautiful. I am currently in Whistler (Yes, the world famous ski resort, which hosted the Winter Olympics in 2010!) and I've got the feeling that I want to stay here over the winter. So far my job search has not been successful, so I thought that I should really put some effort in for my first choice (for a chance). Other ski resorts would be great, too, but I've dreamt about living and working in Whistler ever since I was still in Germany. And that's what I will do!
I was bungee jumping here in Whistler two days ago - by far one of the best experiences of my life. I imagined myself to be more scared though. Instead I felt an inner peace, which quickly changed to euphoria. It's just an incredibly sensation to look down 50 m into a beautiful canyon and to fall through the cool autumn air. 
I can seriously just recommend doing this to anyone and I am so grateful to the universe for sending a stranger to ask me to do it with him and his colleagues. xo
